Writing Blog Process — Checklist

When writing your blog article there are a couple of steps to take into consideration:

research and choose one main keyword that you haven’t used before (preferably long tail)

choose 1–2 synonymous, secondary keywords

use the main keyword in the title(x1), first paragraph(x1), last paragraph(x1), in one of the headings(x1), in the main photo alt(x1), on other photos alts(x1) and in the body text(x1–2)

use the secondary keywords in the rest of the photo alts, and in the body text where necessary

choose url same as title

write a short snippet, with main keyword

create main photo, and secondary photos/ videos if you can

create open graph

write in lists, bullet points

have CTAs (calls to action), including acontact us form on the sidebar or in the end

add related article links in between

add subscribe to newsletter form

add subscribe to pushes form

insert links to main page this blog talks about

add no-follow links to other articles, products

give the article tags, and a section in your blog

(optional) translate the blog if you can

Once you’re done publishing your blog, you’re absolutely not done! Here’s the checklist for what to do afterward:

post about it on Facebook, with #

post about it on Twitter, with #

post about it on Instagram, with #

post about it on Linkedin, with #

(optional) make a video about it for Youtube

send notification about the article with PushCrew

answer 5+ Quora for each new article

post in 3+ Facebook groups, with #

post in 3+ Linkedin groups, with #

post in 3+ Reddit pages

(optional) translate and post it in localized websites ( for example habr for Russian)

(optional) write to products, article authors that you’ve linked or talk about and tell them to share on their socials

rewrite this article (same topic, different words) and send it out to one guest posting site

repost as slides in https://www.slideshare.net/

repost as pdf in https://www.scribd.com/login

repost as presentation in http://authorstream.com/

search similar keyword/topic on google, write comments where possible or contact blog writer to be incorporated in the blog

(later) track the statistics, answer comments, track keyword ranking, edit & renew it after a couple months
